When an infant, or small child is baptised, it is the parents who promise to ensure that their child is brought up within the faith of the Church. Later, when they are old enough, they are invited to confirm that faith, by receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. The service of Confirmation is led by our Bishop. Adults who have not been baptised, may be baptised and confirmed on the same occasion. Confirmation requires careful preparation and classes are regularly held to enable both children and adults to get ready for this very important event in their lives.
Any enquiries about confirmation should be made, in the first instance, to the vicar.
